What is Kisspeptin-10?
Kisspeptin-10 is a decapeptide fragment of the full Kisspeptin protein (also known as Metastin), which is a product of the KISS1 gene. Kisspeptin is the primary activator of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis — the hormone cascade governing reproductive function, testosterone production, and estrogen synthesis. It acts as the 'gatekeeper' of pubertal development and reproductive function.
